There’s something about the quiet of an evening bath that feels like pressing reset. When the day has been long and your shoulders have been holding way more than they should, a warm soak can feel like the kindest thing you can do for yourself. On those evenings when you need soothing from the inside out, this gentle blend of oats and chamomile is just the thing.
Chamomile has always been the herb of calm. Its soft, floral scent feels like a deep breath for the senses, while oats bring that creamy, skin loving magic that softens, hydrates and restores balance. Together, they create a bath that feels like bathing in a cup of comfort.
You’ll need:
Half a cup of oats
Two chamomile tea bags or a handful of dried chamomile flowers
A small square of muslin or a sheer tight sock
Add the oats and chamomile to the muslin, tie it securely and drop it into warm running water. As it soaks, the oats release a silky, milky liquid that nourishes the skin, while the chamomile soothes both skin and mind. When you’re finished, pat your skin dry and let that gentle softness linger.
If you like, you can add a few drops of lavender or rose oil to your bath for a touch of extra relaxation. For the full experience, add a good book, a few candles and a small glass of wine.
Vegan friendly: Entirely. Even the sock.
