As the mornings turn colder, porridge starts making its way back to the breakfast table. There’s something comforting about a steaming bowl on a crisp autumn morning. And when there’s a little left over, it can only mean one thing: a self care evening is calling. A bowl of oats in the morning and a soothing oat face mask at night feels like the cosiest kind of full circle.
This one is an Olive & Joyce classic. It’s soothing, softening and almost edible.
You’ll need:
Two tablespoons of cooked oats (leftover porridge works perfectly)
One teaspoon of maple syrup or agave nectar
A few drops of oat milk or water to loosen
Mix everything together into a smooth paste and apply to clean skin. Leave it on for about ten minutes, then rinse gently with warm water. You’ll be left with skin that feels calm, soft and nourished. The oats gently soothe and restore, while the syrup adds a natural touch of hydration.
